Clos de la Roche is the historic flagship of Domaine Hubert Lignier in Morey-Saint-Denis, a 9-hectare family estate with roots dating to 1880. The domaine was run for decades by Hubert Lignier and is now in the hands of his son Laurent, who achieved organic certification in 2019 and has driven the wines to greater finesse and precision.
100% Pinot Noir from the Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, with some of the estate's oldest vines - dating back to the mid-1960s - contributing to the cuvée. Expect a dark, licorice-inflected Grand Cru with depth, energy and classic Clos de la Roche structure: dark fruit, earth, mineral and smoke, with layered complexity and real aging potential.
Hand-harvested and meticulously sorted. Gentle, low-intervention winemaking with extended, gentle extractions, limited use of new oak (maximum around 30%), and around 20–21 months maturation with no racking after malolactic fermentation. Bottled by gravity.
