Domaine Sylvain Cathiard is a family estate in Vosne-Romanée, led since 2011 by Sébastien Cathiard, who succeeded his father Sylvain. As well as its Vosne-Romanée holdings, the domaine owns premier cru vines just to the south in Nuits-Saint-Georges, including parcels in Aux Murgers and Aux Thorey, both on the Vosne side of the appellation.
This Nuits-Saint-Georges premier cru brings together the richness and structure of the appellation with the domaine's characteristic elegance. Dark cherry and blackberry fruit mingle with floral notes and gentle spice, framed by firm but finely grained tannins and a long, savoury finish.
A Burgundy built for the cellar, it pairs well with beef bourguignon, roast lamb, game birds or a rich mushroom dish.
