Domaine Jean Grivot is one of the most respected estates of Vosne-Romanée, renowned for refined, terroir-faithful Burgundy. Aux Boudots is a prized Premier Cru of Nuits-Saint-Georges, sitting right beside the Vosne border, and it shows a wonderful blend of Nuits structure and Vosne perfume.
This is an energetic, finely balanced Pinot Noir, with aromas of wild dark cherry, red berries and crushed violet, lifted by spice, rose petal and a smoky, mineral note. The palate is medium-bodied and tensile, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, edgy finish.
A characterful Premier Cru built to develop, it pairs wonderfully with game, duck, roast beef and mushroom dishes.
