Larmandier-Bernier 1er Cru Rose de Saignee Champagne 750ml

90% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Gris make up the blend for intensely flavoured rose, drawn from rare plantings, believed to be oldest, of Pinot Noir in this Chardonnay dominant village in the Cote des Blancs. The Larmandier rose is a Saignee style of rose which is becoming increasingly rare in Champagne. For best results, properly ripe grapes are a must. It produces a deeply coloured and flavoured rose, more full bodied than many sparkling roses and one of the most vinous. Eyes closed you would easily be fooled into thinking you’re smelling a glass of red burgundy. Starting with red fruits, savoury spice, then moving to creamy textured and finishing with shimmering acidity.
