Pale garnet. Delicate and airy but very complex nose with wild raspberry, dried roses, orange peel, sumac and seed spice. The palate is delicate, crystalline and almost ethereal; the rosehip and strawberry fruit is gently cradled in nearly imperceptible pebble-like tannins. As it flows across the palate, notes of dried thyme and marjoram emerge. Though very light, the finish is long and persistent, rolling in gentle waves from fruit to herb, to dried flowers, held together by the tart, savoury acidity. The whole package is really fine-boned and elegant, resulting in a quietly complex wine with transparency which will reward mid-term cellaring but will never be more than light-weight
