Weingut Dönnhoff is one of Germany's most celebrated estates, based in the Nahe region and renowned for its precise, expressive Rieslings. The family has built its reputation over generations by capturing the character of the Nahe's distinctive slate and volcanic soils.
The Hermannshöhle is widely regarded as one of the Nahe's greatest vineyards, a steep, sun-favoured site whose Grosses Gewächs designation marks it as a top dry Riesling from a classified Grand Cru vineyard. This is Dönnhoff's flagship dry Riesling.
The wine is intense yet finely balanced, showing citrus, stone fruit and orchard fruit alongside a pronounced stony minerality. It is dry, taut and structured, with a long, saline finish and the capacity to develop for many years in the cellar.
