Weingut Keller is celebrated above all for Riesling, but the Kellers also craft some of Germany's most sought-after Pinot Noir. Spatburgunder is the German name for Pinot Noir, and this Reserve bottling is the estate's top expression, sourced from limestone-rich sites in Rheinhessen and made in a refined, Burgundian-inspired style.
Expect lifted aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and raspberry, layered with fine spice, a touch of smoky reduction and a clear mineral thread. The palate is elegant and structured, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, energetic finish.
This is a serious, cellar-worthy Pinot Noir that reflects Keller's obsessive attention to detail in both vineyard and cellar, built on tension and transparency rather than weight.
