Founded in 1870 by Louis Trapet, the Domaine Trapet is an emblematic player in Alsace, with an area of 15 hectares. Today led by Jean-Louis and Andrée Trapet, the estate has adopted biodynamic practices since 1995, promoting biodiversity and the expression of the terroir. The family, involved for seven generations, stands out for its dual Burgundian and Alsatian heritage, as well as its commitment to viticultural innovation.
Located north of Riquewihr, the Grand Cru Schoenenbourg extends over an altitude ranging from 265 to 380 meters. This exceptional terroir of the Alsace Grand Cru appellation benefits from a complex soil composed of dolomitic marls, siliceous pebbles, Vosges sandstone and limestone marls, giving the wine remarkable minerality and complexity.
