Domaine Robert Chevillon is one of the most respected estates in Nuits-Saint-Georges, now run by brothers Denis and Bertrand Chevillon, the fifth generation at the property. The domaine farms around 13 hectares, including eight premier crus, and its wines have been called the yardstick for the appellation.
The Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes 2022 is made from Pinot Noir on clay-limestone soils from a 3.3-hectare parcel of old vines averaging around 50 years of age. The 2022 vintage brought a lively, perfumed expression with fresh red and dark fruit, silky texture and fine-grained structuring tannins, showing the old-vine depth and fleshy, saline character that define this village-level cuvée.
The vineyards are farmed with meticulous care and the grapes are hand-harvested. The wine is aged in French oak with around 20% new wood, preserving the estate's characteristic clarity and sense of place.
