A village Gevrey-Chambertin from Domaine Perrot-Minot in Morey-Saint-Denis. The estate traces its roots to the late 1800s through the Merme family, with the name Perrot-Minot added in 1963 when Henri Perrot-Minot married into the family. Since 1993 the domaine has been run by Christophe Perrot-Minot, who worked as a wine broker for seven years before taking over, and has driven the wines to considerable acclaim. Farmed organically.
100% Pinot Noir from the Gevrey-Chambertin village appellation. Expect a classic, polished Gevrey profile - dark cherry, blackberry, violet and a hint of bitter chocolate on the nose, leading into a well-structured, harmonious palate with fine-grained tannins and a persistent finish that rewards a little cellaring.
Low yields, late harvests and careful selection define Christophe's style. Hand-harvested, vinified parcel-by-parcel with gentle extraction, and aged in French oak before bottling.
