Domaine Jean Grivot is one of the great names of Vosne-Romanée, a family estate prized for refined, terroir-faithful Burgundy. Les Chaumes is a Premier Cru on the gentle lower slopes of Vosne, giving a wine that combines ripe, generous fruit with the village's signature elegance.
This is a beautifully aromatic Pinot Noir, deep cherry-red in the glass, with intense red berry and cherry fruit, spice and a touch of aromatic cedar. The palate is full-bodied yet fresh, with fine-grained tannins, bright acidity and a silky, refined finish.
A wonderfully complete Vosne Premier Cru that will reward cellaring, it pairs beautifully with duck, game, mushroom dishes and soft cheeses.
