Les Terres Fines is Dhondt-Grellet's Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs, a precise, chalk-driven expression of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs. The cuvée draws on small parcels in Cuis (Premier Cru) with northeast exposures, supplemented by a smaller share from neighbouring Grauves, with vines planted from the 1950s through to 2014.
Linear and focused on the palate, with aromas of biscuit, dried white flowers, crisp citrus fruit and toasted hazelnuts, driven by tangy acidity and plenty of chalky dry extract. A quietly compelling Chardonnay-led Champagne that marries tension with depth.
Built on the 2022 base vintage with around 30% perpetual reserve dating back to 1986. Matured for around 11 months in 228-litre barrels (roughly one-third new) before bottling. Extra Brut dosage of around 2.5 g/L.
