Lilbert-Fils is a tiny grower Champagne house in Cramant, one of the celebrated Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs. Run by Bertrand Lilbert, the family estate farms only a few hectares of Chardonnay, and its wines are prized for their tension, purity and chalky minerality, with a house style that favours freshness and acidity over richness.
This vintage Blanc de Blancs is made entirely from Chardonnay grown in Cramant. It shows lemon, green apple and white flowers, with hints of brioche and toasted almond from time on lees, a fine, persistent bead and a long, saline and chalky finish that reflects the village's limestone soils.
Serve well chilled with oysters, scallops, crab or delicate white fish, or simply on its own as a special aperitif.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
