Weingut Keller, based in Flörsheim-Dalsheim in the Rheinhessen, is one of Germany's most revered estates — Klaus-Peter Keller is widely credited with sparking a Riesling renaissance in the region. The estate dates to 1789, and Klaus-Peter runs it alongside his wife Julia and son Felix. 'RR' is Keller's dry Riesling drawn from the Westhofener Kirchspiel Grand Cru site, a limestone-dominated slope that forms the backbone of the estate.
100% Riesling from the famed Kirchspiel Grand Cru vineyard. Expect a racy, limestone-driven dry Riesling of pronounced mineral detail — flinty, smoky aromatics of crushed stone, together with lemon, grapefruit, white fruit and white floral notes. Full-flavoured yet filigreed on the palate, with a stimulating, saline finish.
Hand-harvested in Keller's painstaking, pass-by-pass style. Fermented in traditional large oak vats (Fuder) and stainless steel with native yeasts, then aged on the lees to build texture and precision.
