Tua Rita is located in Suvereto, a small medieval town in the Tuscan province of Livorno on the coast south of Bolgheri. Founded in 1984 by Rita Tua and her husband Virgilio Bisti, the estate released its first vintage in 1992 and quickly became one of Tuscany's most celebrated Super Tuscan addresses, with its 2000 Redigaffi the first Italian wine ever to receive a perfect 100-point score from Robert Parker.
Giusto di Notri is Tua Rita's foundational Bordeaux blend, typically built around Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The 2021 shows a deep concentration of dark fruit with classic Bordeaux-blend notes of blackcurrant, graphite and sweet herbs, supported by dense power and polished tannins.
The estate lies at just around 100 metres above sea level on clay-silt, mineral-rich soils, with yields kept low to ensure concentration of flavours. Winemaking is overseen by the Tua Rita team with close attention to vineyard management, and the wine is aged in large barrels before bottling.
