The Comune di Serralunga serves as a tremendous value complement to the single cru wines from Luigi Baudana, being a representation of the region as a whole rather than a single vineyard. Fruit is sourced from three different plots across Serralunga, from generally younger vines, averaging 20-30 years of age. Maceration and fermentation times are a touch shorter than for the single cru wines, resulting in a wines of more immediate appeal and approachability. Beautiful flavours of cherry, rosehip and raspberry, and a refined, precise palate - such a wonderful high end Barolo bargain.
