Weiß Erd—meaning “white earth”—is one of the Rheingau’s most revered vineyards, entirely classified as Erstes Gewächs or higher. Künstler owns 1.3 hectares of this prized 7.4-hectare site. South-facing and just 90 metres above sea level, its gentle incline and white calcareous marl soils create wines of purity, texture and remarkable mineral drive.
Hand-harvested fruit is destemmed, gently pressed, and cool-fermented exclusively in large old oak casks. The result is a VDP Grosse Lage Riesling of power and precision, seamlessly balancing richness with crystalline acidity.
