Domaine Rougeot is a family estate in Meursault now in its fifth generation, run by Marc Rougeot with his sons Pierre-Henri and Alexandre. Their vineyards across the Côte de Beaune are certified organic and farmed biodynamically, and the wines are made with native yeasts and bottled without fining or filtration.
La Combe Bazin comes from very old vines, around 85 years of age, in the cool, elevated hills of Saint-Romain above Meursault. The wine is pale lemon in the glass, with an open, expressive nose and bright acidity supporting generous orchard and citrus fruit. A subtle touch of oak adds depth before a long, persistent finish.
Enjoy with seafood, goat's cheese, poached chicken or a simple herb risotto.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
