Domaine Gilbert Picq et ses Fils is a much-loved family estate in Chichée, just south-east of Chablis, celebrated for pure, mineral wines that faithfully express their terroir. Vaucoupin is a fine Premier Cru on the right bank of the Serein, giving a Chablis with greater richness and depth than the village wines.
Made without oak, fermented with indigenous yeasts and raised in stainless steel, it keeps the estate's hallmark purity. Expect aromas of citrus zest, green apple and orchard fruit, with oyster shell, white flowers and a touch of beeswax. The palate is precise yet textural, with vibrant minerality, fine acidity and a long, saline, chalky finish.
A serious, food-friendly Premier Cru Chablis, it is superb with oysters, shellfish, richer seafood and creamy cheeses.
