Domaine Henri Gouges is widely considered the reference producer in Nuits-Saint-Georges, with a history stretching back to 1920. This village-level bottling draws from the domaine's holdings across the appellation, offering an accessible introduction to one of the Côte de Nuits' most characterful communes.
Hand-harvested and gravity-fed, the wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged 18 months in barrel with a maximum of 20% new oak, bottled without fining or filtration. Classic Nuits-Saint-Georges in character — medium to full-bodied with dark cherry, earth and spice, firm tannins and the structure to age gracefully over the medium term.
