The Dugat family have been winegrowers in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation since the beginning of the 17th century. Bernard Dugat and his son, Loîc are the 12th and 13th generation to exploit the unique knowledge of wine-making and working in the vines, which has been acquired over four centuries.
A super-fresh and distinctly earthy aromas are comprised by notes of cassis and dark berry fruit liqueur. The dense, serious and mouth coating flavors possess a beguiling texture thanks to the abundance of dry extract that also serves to buffer the firm tannic spine shaping the strikingly long finish. This is flat out terrific and it's rare to see villages-level Gevrey at this level. Outstanding, Top Value!
