Bruno Colin is a third-generation vigneron who grew up on his family's Michel Colin-Deléger domaine in Chassagne-Montrachet and trained in viticulture in Beaune. After the family estate was divided, he released his first wines under his own name in 2004. Today his domaine covers holdings across Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Maranges, and his style focuses on freshness and minerality.
This Bourgogne Chardonnay comes from a small parcel of around 0.8 hectares and is made with the same care as the domaine's village and Premier Cru wines. It shows lemon zest, white peach and white fruit aromas with a touch of hazelnut and subtle creaminess. The palate is fresh, pure and well balanced, finishing clean and mineral.
It is an approachable introduction to the white wines of the Côte de Beaune and drinks well young.
