A village Chassagne-Montrachet from Domaine Alex Moreau, the natural evolution of the storied Domaine Bernard Moreau in Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy. Alex took over full winemaking control with the 2020 vintage and began bottling under his own name from 2021, continuing a family tradition widely recognised among the finest producers of the village.
100% Chardonnay from village-level plots in Chassagne-Montrachet. In the glass, expect explosive but harmonious aromatics and flavours - pear, toasted nuts, white flowers and citrus oil - leading into a medium- to full-bodied, satiny palate with fine acidity and a seamless, elegant finish.
Hand-harvested, with long, slow pressings, spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and maturation predominantly in François Frères barrels (around 10–25% new oak). The domaine avoids pesticides and uses organic fertilisers, with low yields driven by careful vineyard work.
