Camille and Guillaume Boillot are a young Burgundian partnership working out of Meursault, having released their first wines from the 2022 vintage. Guillaume carries the lineage of the Henri Boillot estate, where he worked for many years, while Camille comes from a winemaking family in Pommard. Their small, carefully tended holdings span Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Pommard.
This Puligny-Montrachet is drawn from the lieu-dit of Les Enseigneres and is pure Chardonnay, aged in older oak so the character of the site can shine through. It is a graceful, finely cut white, with delicate white flowers, a hint of fresh bread and toast, and a satiny palate of white-fleshed fruit and sweet citrus. Bright acidity gives it a tightly wound, energetic finish.
Serve at cool cellar temperature with grilled or poached fish, fresh shellfish, scallops or poultry in lighter sauces. Produced in limited quantities, it shows the elegance and tension that define fine Puligny.
