One new barrel made from purchased grapes, kept on its lees and bottled straight from the barrel. Mid yellow colour, quite reductive, but clearly with an immense intensity of fruit. Unless the degree of oak upsets you – and it certainly does not dry out the fruit – this is a beautiful, powerful yet expressive Puligny 1er Cru, with even some floral qualities returning right at the back.
