Ten Minutes by Tractor McCutcheon Pinot Noir 2025 750ml
McCutcheon is one of the three founding vineyards of Ten Minutes by Tractor, sitting high on Main Ridge at around 200 metres. Within the estate it is the site known for delicacy, and its Pinot Noir is the most finely drawn of the single vineyard wines.
The winery was established in 1997 when the Judd, McCutcheon and Wallis vineyards joined forces, and took its name from the fact that all three are roughly ten minutes apart by tractor. Main Ridge is the highest and coolest corner of the Mornington Peninsula, and that altitude shows in the length of the growing season and the natural acidity in the fruit.
This is Pinot Noir built on detail. Red cherry, wild strawberry and pomegranate are threaded with rose, forest floor and a fine peppery spice, with sinewy tannins and a long, savoury, mineral close. It is graceful now and will reward patience, and suits duck, veal or mushroom dishes.
