Domaine Sylvain Cathiard is a family estate in Vosne-Romanée, founded by Sylvain's grandfather and led since 2011 by his son Sébastien. Regional wines now make up a significant part of the domaine's production, and they are made with the same care as its renowned premier crus.
This Bourgogne Rouge comes from two parcels close to home: one in Flagey, the domaine's historic vineyard, and one at Croix Blanche between Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges. The result is a fine-textured Pinot Noir with bright red cherry and raspberry fruit, a touch of spice, a mineral edge and the polish that marks every Cathiard wine.
An excellent introduction to the domaine, it is versatile at the table with charcuterie, roast chicken, grilled salmon or a simple mushroom pasta.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
