Quintodecimo is the Irpinia estate of Luigi Moio, a respected oenology professor from a long-established Campanian winemaking family. Founded in 2001 at Mirabella Eclano, it devotes itself to the native grapes of the region, producing three celebrated whites alongside its Aglianico-based reds.
Exultet is a single-vineyard Fiano di Avellino from Lapio, regarded as one of the finest areas for the variety. Its name honours the Exultet of Mirabella Eclano, a medieval illuminated parchment that pays tribute to bees. Partially fermented in small oak barrels, it is pale yellow with green glints and offers aromas of linden, acacia blossom and thyme, followed by exotic fruit, citrus and honey on a palate with a gentle mineral finish. It has the capacity to age for many years.
Lovely alongside shellfish, grilled white fish, vegetable risotto or soft cheeses.
