Penfolds RWT Bin 798 is a luxurious Shiraz sourced from the Barossa Valley, the heartland of South Australian Shiraz. The initials stand for Red Winemaking Trial, the project that gave rise to this wine and set it apart from Penfolds' other flagship reds through its maturation in French oak.
Deep and opulent, it delivers concentrated flavours of blackberry, dark plum and blackcurrant, layered with notes of chocolate, licorice, spice and violet. French oak lends a supple, seamless texture and fine, ripe tannins, framing a wine of remarkable richness, power and length.
