Reserve Bin A is one of Penfolds' most celebrated white wines, a cool-climate Chardonnay drawn from the elevated vineyards of the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. The fruit is hand-picked and barrel-fermented in the Burgundian tradition, producing a wine that balances precision with texture and carries a distinct regional signature.
Aromas of grapefruit and white stone fruit mingle with grilled nuts, flint and a subtle marzipan lift. The palate is layered and finely poised, showing apricot, yellow peach and citrus flavours over a creamy mid-palate viscosity, with lacy texture and a long, mineral, gently savoury finish.
Drinking beautifully in its youth, it also has the structure and drive to reward careful cellaring, gaining further complexity over the years ahead.
