Distilled in 2013 and bottled a decade later, this Spring 2023 edition of Old Fitzgerald shows the wheated mash bill at a sweet spot of maturity. True to Bottled-in-Bond standards, it comes from one distillery, one season, and is bottled at 100 proof – honest bourbon, built the old way.
The nose offers oak, red fruit and hazelnut wrapped in dark brown sugar. The palate is silky yet structured, carrying notes of butterscotch, baking spice, cherries and a touch of dark chocolate. A warm, lingering finish ties it all together with soft oak and gentle spice.
