Nobushi is an approachable blended Japanese whisky, an easy-drinking introduction to the Japanese style. It is built from whiskies drawn from Japan's Miyagi and Nagano prefectures and matured in American oak casks, taking on a warm, golden-amber colour.
The nose is gentle and inviting, with floral and fresh-fruit aromas, hints of melon and marzipan, and a soft frame of caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is fruity and surprisingly full-bodied, carrying winter spice, vanilla, orange zest and a cooling touch of mint.
The finish brings peppery wood spice over a buttery caramel sweetness. Smooth and versatile, it suits sipping over ice, lengthening in a highball or mixing through a whisky cocktail.
