Margherita Otto is a small Barolo project born in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, drawing Nebbiolo from parcels spread across the famed communes of Castiglione Falletto, Monforte d'Alba and Serralunga d'Alba. Blending fruit from these distinct villages brings together perfumed elegance, power and firm structure in a single, classically styled Barolo.
In the glass it shows a medium to deep ruby, leading into an expressive, traditional nose of dried rose petal, ripe cherry, warm spice, anise and crushed stone, with the savoury hints of tar and forest floor that mark fine Nebbiolo.
The palate is finely built, with fresh acidity and noble, youthful tannins framing a silky, elegant texture. It closes long and mineral, balancing real power with genuine finesse, and will reward time in the cellar.
