The 2022 Vosne-Romanée 1er Les Rouges des Dessus 1er Cru is mysterious and complex. Scents of pipe tobacco, cedar, crushed rocks, spice and red-toned fruit emanate from the glass. There is a brooding quality in the 2022 that I find quite appealing. It works rather well with the wine’s textural depth and overall feel.
