Domaine Jean-Louis Chavy is a family estate rooted in Puligny-Montrachet, one of the great white wine villages of Burgundy's Côte de Beaune. This premier cru comes from Les Perrières, a stony vineyard whose name nods to the quarry-like, limestone soils that give the wine its mineral drive.
The nose is fine and delicate, offering citrus, white flowers and crushed rock, with subtle hints of almond and mint. On the palate it reveals lime and green pear over a creamy texture, staying fresh, precise and elegant throughout.
Restrained use of new oak keeps the focus firmly on fruit purity and minerality, leading to a long, chalky finish with real depth and length. It is a refined, ageworthy expression of premier cru Puligny.
