Domaine Rougeot is a five-generation family estate in Meursault, farming certified organic and biodynamic vineyards across the Côte de Beaune. Pierre-Henri Rougeot is known for his low-intervention approach, and each year he selects a small number of barrels that are stable enough to be bottled with no added sulphur at all. These are released under the domaine's Nature label in very limited quantities.
Les Charmes is one of the most celebrated premier cru vineyards of Meursault. This Nature bottling shows a fine lemon-yellow colour with a green tint and a pure, expressive nose that opens up beautifully with a little air. The palate is dynamic and generous, carried by bright acidity and layers of apple and orchard fruit through to a long, refined finish.
Decant briefly and serve with lobster, crayfish, roast poultry or veal in a creamy morel sauce.
