Joh. Jos. Prüm is a benchmark Mosel estate whose Rieslings are prized for their purity, delicacy and remarkable longevity. This Kabinett is drawn from the Graacher Himmelreich, a renowned vineyard set on blue-grey Devonian slate.
Kabinett is the lightest and most delicate of the classic Prädikat styles, and here it shows a fresh, flinty bouquet with hints of violet, peach and blackcurrant. The palate is light, lively and gently off-dry, with apple, citrus and stone-fruit flavours carried by crackling, saline acidity and a distinct slatey minerality, all leading to a long, refreshing finish.
Low in weight but full of energy, it is a versatile aperitif and a natural partner for lighter dishes, salads and spiced fare, with the structure to age gracefully for many years.
