Génot-Boulanger is a family-run domaine based in Meursault, working across a remarkable patchwork of premier and grand cru sites in both the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise. Les Folatières is one of the most celebrated premiers crus of Puligny-Montrachet, sitting high on the slope above the village on limestone and marl soils with a coveted south-east exposure.
The 2022 is a refined and concentrated Puligny that shows the cuvée's hallmark tension. Citrus and white peach lead into apricot, quince and a fine thread of honey, with toasted hazelnut and a touch of flint from a careful, restrained élevage. The palate is precise and structured, with a chalky mineral backbone and a long, salt-edged finish that rewards patience.
A serious white Burgundy for special occasions, equally well suited to lobster and crab dishes, poultry in cream sauce or aged Comté.
