Edouard Confuron is a small, hand-crafted domaine in the Cote de Nuits, the beating heart of red Burgundy. Having honed his craft at the family estate in Vosne-Romanee, Edouard now tends a handful of plots under his own name, working with meticulous care in both vineyard and cellar and favouring whole-bunch fermentation where the season allows.
This Bourgogne Pinot Noir is drawn from vines sitting just below the famed villages of the Cote de Nuits, offering an accessible window into his fresh, vibrant style. It shows bright aromas of red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, threaded with subtle florals and a touch of gentle spice.
The palate is light to medium bodied and beautifully perfumed, with juicy red fruit, a silky texture and fine, supple tannins. Fresh acidity keeps everything lively and lifted through to a clean, savoury finish.
