Clos des Porrets Saint-Georges is a Premier Cru and a monopole — exclusively owned by Domaine Henri Gouges since its founding. Situated on stony Premeaux pink limestone with calcareous clay soils, just below Les Perrières, this walled vineyard produces one of the most approachable wines in the domaine's distinguished range.
Hand-harvested and gravity-fed, the wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged 18 months in barrel with a maximum of 20% new oak, bottled without fining or filtration. Elegant and medium-weighted with dark cherry, black pepper, liquorice and earthy notes — a Nuits-Saint-Georges that balances immediate charm with the structure to age gracefully.
