Domaine Henri Germain et Fils is a respected family estate in Meursault, founded in 1973 and now in the hands of Jean-Francois Germain. The domaine is known above all for its white Burgundies, made with low yields, meticulous vineyard work and a gentle touch in the cellar that favours restraint over heavy oak, letting the terroir of each plot speak clearly.
Limozin is a village-level Meursault lieu-dit lying on the lower slopes near the famous Charmes vineyard, giving a wine that balances the rich, generous character of Meursault with freshness and finesse. Expect ripe white peach, pear and citrus alongside hazelnut, gentle butter and a touch of toasted oak, all carried on a creamy yet precise palate with a saline, mineral lift through the finish.
A classic partner for richer seafood such as scallops, lobster and crab, as well as roast chicken, veal in cream sauce and soft cheeses. Serve lightly chilled rather than ice cold to let its texture and aromatics open up.
