Domaine d'Eugenie is a distinguished estate based in Vosne-Romanee, at the heart of Burgundy's Cote de Nuits. Established in 2006 when the Pinault family acquired the historic Rene Engel domaine, it is farmed organically and overseen with the same rigour as the family's other renowned properties.
This Clos Vougeot Grand Cru comes from a parcel on the upper part of the famous walled vineyard, where clay and limestone soils and old vines yield a powerful yet refined Pinot Noir. Expect a deep, complex wine with aromas of dark cherry, blackberry and plum, layered with spice, floral notes and an earthy, mineral depth. The palate is structured and concentrated, with firm, fine tannins and a long, savoury finish.
A wine of real pedigree and cellaring potential, it will continue to unfold and gain complexity over many years.
