Silice is a dry white blend from Domaine des Ardoisières in the French Alps, combining Jacquère (40%), Chardonnay (40%) and Mondeuse Blanche (20%) from the domaine's high-altitude terraces in Saint-Pierre-de-Soucy and Apremont. While sharing the same grape blend as the Argile cuvée, Silice draws from different parcels on siliceous, quartz-rich soils that give the wine a distinctive mineral tension.
Farmed biodynamically by winemaker Brice Omont on vertiginous slopes partly worked by horse, the wine is fermented with native yeasts and bottled with minimal sulphur, no fining and no filtration. Vibrant and fresh with a crystalline, silica-driven minerality that sets it apart — a pure expression of Alpine terroir.
