From Domaine de la Vougeraie, the Boisset family's prestigious estate based in Premeaux-Prissey between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. Founded in 1999 to bring together the finest Burgundian vineyard holdings the Boisset group had acquired since 1964, the domaine today farms around 44 hectares spread across more than 30 appellations and is certified organic, with biodynamic principles applied throughout the vineyards.
A Premier Cru Puligny-Montrachet from the Champ Gain climat, sitting on a steep clay-limestone slope. 100% Chardonnay, planted at a density of 10,000 vines per hectare and farmed biodynamically. Expect aromas of grapefruit, sliced pear and a lifted floral element, leading into a precise, well-balanced palate with apple, white fruit and good underlying density, finishing long and refined.
Whole-bunch pressed and naturally fermented, then aged for 16 months in French oak barrels with two months in stainless steel before bottling.
