Domaine Corcia is a small family domaine in Mercurey, in Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise. The Corcia family acquired the former Domaine de la Vieille Fontaine in 2021, and Raphaël Corcia now looks after the vineyards and the cellar himself, converting the estate to organic farming with biodynamic methods.
Le Clos Pontot Blanc comes from a parcel of roughly 0.4 hectares, with Chardonnay vines planted back in 1951. That vine age shows in the glass: fleshy orchard fruit, white peach and citrus meet hints of white flowers and pastry, while the palate is silky yet structured, finishing with a chalky, saline minerality.
A Mercurey Blanc with real presence, it pairs beautifully with scallops, roast pork, poultry in a cream sauce or soft washed-rind cheeses.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
