Les Amoureuses sits on the slope just below Musigny, toward the boundary with Vougeot, and is widely regarded as one of the finest premier crus in Burgundy, often compared in quality to the neighbouring grands crus. Its thin, stony limestone soils give a Pinot Noir of perfume, delicacy and fine-grained structure that is the essence of Chambolle.
