From Domaine Chanson, a historic Burgundy estate based in the medieval Bastion of Beaune, founded in 1750 and one of the oldest houses in the region. The estate cultivates around 43 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru sites across the Côte de Beaune, including a 2-hectare plot in Chassagne-Montrachet on the road to Saint-Aubin.
A village-level Chassagne-Montrachet from the lieu-dit Le Chanfolt. 100% Chardonnay, grown on small interlocking blocks of soil with the typical clay-limestone of the village and the famous Chassagne stone. The east-facing aspect, exposed to fresh air, gives the wine a pure, refreshing aromatic profile with clear minerality, leading into a precise, balanced palate of real finesse.
Hand-harvested grapes are quickly chilled on arrival in a proprietary tunnel that limits oxygen exposure, before gentle pressing and fermentation, with élevage in oak barrels in the Bastion's historic cellars.
