Domaine Alex Moreau's Bourgogne Blanc is 100% Chardonnay drawn from vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet, sitting just across the road from village-level parcels on clay-rich soils. Alex took full control of the family estate in 2021, renaming it and continuing to build on the precise, energetic style that has quietly established him as one of the Côte de Beaune's most exciting young vignerons.
Hand-harvested fruit is fermented with indigenous yeasts in 10–30% new French oak, matured eight months in barrel and a further eight months in tank on fine lees before bottling unfined and usually unfiltered. The result carries the estate's signature finesse — white peach, nectarine and green apple mingle with pithy lemon, hay and a subtle creamy undercurrent, all lifted by a backbone of mineral freshness.
A serious, refined Bourgogne Blanc that punches well above its appellation, critics have consistently noted the 2023 vintage for its precision, clarity and energy.
