Buisson Battault Meursault Gouttes d'Or 1er 2021 750ml

I don’t know whether there’s an element of suggestion here from the name but I always get a gold leaf element in this wine. Besides that the volume is turned up from the village ¬– more angles, more citrus sits within a generally more weighty and richer style but everywhere it touches you feel a pull of phenolic twang that keeps picking up the fruit and mineral and driving them across the palate. Decadence meets restraint. Lovely.
