This Vieilles Vignes cuvee is sourced from two fantastic Village lieu-dits in Meursault (Les Malpoiriers & Les Pellans) with vines planted in 1935 and 1930 respectively.
Opulent spices mix with golden delicious apples and fresh fennel on the nose. With air, the fruit fragance gives way to minerally accents. Like the 2019, there's an intriguing interplay between density and lightness, its palpable intensity glides across the palate with a fine talcy texture. On the finish a lingering line of acidity offers a burst of freshness and salinity to temper the underlying tow of power and drive coming from the superb 90+-year-old vines. GABRIELLE POY
